| Summer Afternoons with Katerina |
Speaking of the pool, couldn't let this series pass without a special entry on the playful and naughty Kat.
Katerina and her signature frowning brow. Love it! This little girl from Germany is one of Julian's favorite playmates at the Shangri-la. Her mom and I set afternoon playdates and we sat chatting on the lounge chairs while Julian and Katerina played.
The funny thing about it all is that they don't understand one another! Without Kat's Mom, who translated things when necessary, the two just did their own unique talk & play routine. It was fun to watch. You know that the only way they understood one another is from the tones of their lines and their facial expressions. They ran around the pool and had races on who collected the defeated fighting kites.
I so hate that I missed taking shots of Katerina going after Julian and smothering his face with sloppy little kisses to annoy him. There Julian was screaming, "Make her stop!!!" and Kat's mom shouting, "Katerina, Nein!" Hehehe. Naughty little tramp.
It was such that after Katerina left, we seriously missed her.
I don't know, call me a sap but these last 3 photos make me sad somehow. Oh well...
